Sources and credits

Where every word and image came from, and why there was no site to restore.

This is an independent rebuild of the BeeThere website. There is a complication worth stating at the top: there was no website to rebuild.

No company site exists in the archive. Bee There LLC shipped an iOS app. Its domains — beethere.com, beethereapp.com, beethere.us, beethere.io — are all parked or blank in every capture. The only company text that survives is its App Store description and its LinkedIn page, and both are quoted here rather than paraphrased.

Provenance

Where each part came from

  • The product description — the app’s App Store listing, preserved by Soft112’s catalogue: “BeeThere is the easiest way to discover the awesome events happening around you…”
  • The four features — the same listing’s numbered points, four of which are quoted on the home and how-it-works pages.
  • The app facts — platform (iOS 7.0+), release date (4 February 2015), last version (1.6), size, category and the listed developer.
  • “Your community in the palm of your hand” and the #BeeReady paragraph — the company’s LinkedIn page.
  • The trademark — BEETHERE, serial 85421919, registered to Bee There LLC (recorded from the trademark record; the register itself blocks automated access).
  • The year — 2014, from LinkedIn.

What was lost

Almost all of it

  • The website. If one ever existed, it was never archived; every company domain in the archive is a parking page.
  • The app itself. BeeThere is delisted from the App Store, and no archived App Store page survives either.
  • The screenshots. Nothing of the product’s interface survives, which is why the phone on this site is labelled an illustration rather than a screenshot.
  • The team. LinkedIn shows two employees and the listing names one developer. No photographs, no roles beyond that.
  • Contact details. None were ever published.
  • Video. None.

Design

Nothing to restore, so nothing is claimed

The palette, the type and the layout are this rebuild’s own, because the company left no design to copy. What is the company’s is the name, the words, the trademark and the facts.

  • The name is set in type. The only logo recoverable from LinkedIn is a very light grey wordmark on white, which is unreadable at any size; the site sets “BeeThere” in Poppins instead of reproducing a mark nobody can see.
  • The phone is a drawing. It illustrates the feed the listing describes. It is not a screenshot and is labelled as such.
  • Poppins is self-hosted, four weights, woff2. No external requests on load.
